19th September, 2026 - Abu Dhabi, UAE - FairPlay Studios and Red Dunes Games are inviting players to a terrifyingly surreal sleepover when Nightmare Circus is on display at Tokyo Game Show 2026, taking place 17-21 September at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
Nightmare Circus puts you in control of a puppeteer trapped inside a mysterious nightmare world, jam-packed with fast-paced combat, exploration, puzzles, platforming, and a unique physics-driven combat system. You must seek out your fellow circus performers by finding your way in a mysterious realm packed with strange environments, monstrous enemies, and quirky challenges.
Nightmare Circus puts a twisted spin on action-adventure battles thanks to its fluid combat system, letting players mix and match three distinct attack styles. You’ll need to deftly switch between swift light attacks, long-reaching medium strikes, and punishing heavy blows if you want to wake up from this nightmare. The environment is part of your arsenal as well, so don’t forget to slam enemies into the world around them in your quest for victory!
It’s a non-stop nightmare, and you’re the one pulling the strings:
- Wield strings, hooks, and powerful attacks to take down your enemies.
- Smash, crash, and slam enemies into each other - sounds like fun!
- Master the strings to wrap, link, pull, and manipulate enemies to turn the tide of battle.

Visitors to Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be able to discover Nightmare Circus as part of the event's five-day celebration of all things video games. If you won’t make it to the show, a free demo is currently available on Steam, giving players an opportunity to experience the darkness ahead of the game’s release. Nightmare Circus is scheduled to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX in Q2 2027.
