With a new plot of land, a new premise, and with up to 3 friends, players will delve even deeper into the vast expanses of their own garden. The game will be released for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and XBOX on PC, as well as for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Despite starting as a vacation project with just a few weeks of development time by a single developer, A Game About Digging a Hole quickly went viral on social media and reached the top 30 on the Steam charts, selling over a million copies. Thus, a small, hole-filled game became a viral, multiplatform hit that captivated players around the world.
A Game About Digging A Hole Together retains the simple, addictive gameplay and gives players exactly what they want: MORE. More depth, more terrain, more tools, more secrets, more to discover, and above all, multiplayer! The core mechanics are easy to (re)learn: dig, sell, upgrade, and keep digging - but they’ve all been improved from the ground up. Over the past few months, Mipumi Games has rebuilt the game’s entire code, making it run more smoothly and reliably. The experienced Vienna-based studio has previously worked on titles such as Alan Wake 2, CONTROL, HITMAN, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
