VILNIUS, Lithuania - September 29, 2026 - Elegant Horse Studios and Dawn Wood Games today announced that Flipping Is Hard, a physics-based co-op rage platformer, launches October 16, 2026 on PC via Steam at $14.99, with 35% off at launch.
You are Flippy, a Flippia brick phone thrown out with the trash. Your (rather irresponsible) boy Jeff is at the top of the Trashlands, a mountain of forgotten toys, gadgets and childhood memories. You can't walk. You can only flip, end over end, through storm drains, candy hills, neon grids, and refrigerators. One bad flip can cost you an hour.

WILL YOU FINALLY BREAK A BRICK PHONE?
- 10 levels, each more ridiculously perilous than the last
- Two modes: Flipping Is Chill (~5 hrs), or Flipping Is Hard (8+ hrs, assuming it doesn't drive you mad)
- The Trashlands' strangest residents, including a foul-mouthed Tamagotchi, an anarchist gummy bear, a rave-DJ gingerbread man, and an alien who was meant to be the final boss of a scrapped game
- Retro mini-games on Flippy himself, including Fnake, Floppy Road and Flippy Bird. Any resemblance to old favorites is purely coincidental.
- Collectible coins, achievements, challenges and unlockable phone skins
FLIPPY HAS ENTERED THE GROUP CHAT!
Up to 16 players can climb together online, with proximity voice chat and a set of deliberately chaotic teamwork tools:
- Help Beam: pulls a fallen friend back up and bounces the player using it all over the place
- Microwaves: one player switches one on, and everyone else climbs into any other Microwave and gets zapped over for a reunion
- Pings: help you find each other after the inevitable fall
CLIMB HIGH WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM YOUR FRIEND
A friendly Narrator guides Flippy upward with advice and encouragement. But the higher Flippy climbs, the less the Trashlands feel like a pile of rubbish and the more they feel like a carefully constructed trap…
STREAM AND SCREAM?
Streamer Mode adds streamer-only fall reactions and unexpected guests who may or may not sound like the narrator.
